Drum set and band percussion lessons are offered to children, teens, and adults at beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels. Drum set styles include: rock; jazz; blues; shuffles; (Latin - bosa nova, samba, songo, etc.); hip hop; R&B; break beats; reggae and dancehall; fusion; country; bluegrass; afrobeat; and all other genres of music. Lesson focus includes: rudiments; hand techniques; finger techniques; four-way independence; musicality; chart reading; equipment selection and up keep; as well as the history of the instrument and great players. |
